The Kick-Off Clubhouse Get-Together for 2020

At last we were together again after a 2-month winter hiatus.

Rabbi Brickman, one of our regular members, leads us in the motzi before an outstanding Italian meal catered by Glorioso’s.

The NightinGal’s, one of our favorite musical duo’s got our toes tapping and singing along with our favorite oldies. It was a warm and wonderful afternoon.

Chanukah is Not Just for Kids!

Chanukah festivities started with Kosher brisket, chicken and latkes from Ferrantes!

It was so cold outside but so warm inside!

Yid Viscous brought traditional klezmer music to make it a real Chanukah festival.

We all sang!

Meeting Miryam Rosenzweig

Milwaukee Jewish Federation CEO shares her fresh ideas of unifying Jewish Milwaukee during lunch.

And then Dancing with the Stars

We had a blast!

Then we were entertained by some award winning dance couples .

It was a wonderful afternoon to be with friends new and old!

Our Amazing Field Trip to Downtown Milwaukee.

Their were 80 members and volunteers on our trip. We started out at Congregation Shalom and boarded 2 buses on our journey. This event was sold out! There was no more seating at The Grill at the historic Ambassador Hotel where we enjoyed a beautiful lunch.

After lunch we rebounded the buses and had a narrated tour of downtown Milwaukee including all the new facets from the Third Ward, to the Menomonne Valley, to Fiserv Forum. Our tour guides were terrific. We were back at Shalom by 3PM and looking forward to being together at our next Clubhouse get-together.

The Zoo comes to the Clubhouse.

We had volunteers from the Milwaukee County Zoo, Justin, and our own Clubhouse member, Lil Zarem, talk about the animals at the zoo. They shared information and Lil shared her special stories.  Everyone enjoyed it!

A Triple play On June 4th.

First a delicious lunch and catching up with Clubhouse friends.

We then heard from Clubhouse board member, Attorney Lori Kornblum, as part of our on going series,”The Law Behind The News”.  This week’s topic was “Breaking Up the Big Tech Companies.”  We learned what’s happening in Washington about FaceBook, Google, Amazon and Apple.

And we rounded out the afternoon relaxing and listening to “Groovy”, one of our favorite musical groups.

It’s beginning to look like Spring!

We started with a delicious lunch from Sendik’s, followed by yummy dessert from Nothing but Bundt Cakes.

We sang Happy Birthday to our dear friend ,June Kurzon.

Then, we heard from Attorney Lori Kornblum about the Law Behind the News.  She discussed the Mueller Report. Always Interesting!

After Lori’s talk, we went over to the music area and relaxed with Pam and the Accidentals.
